Decorating your Kid's-Room
Shabby- Chic Style

Decorating your kid's-room shabby-chic-style is the easiest and most fun way to help your child express his or her unique personality! This is where it pays off to involve your child in decorating their own room!

In keeping with the shabby chic style of decorating, I recommend focusing on the walls and the accessories here. Huge tip: Keep the walls in your kid's room painted a neutral color, even if it's a combination of colors. Keep it neutral so it's easier to change up the decor as your child gets older.

In my opinion, murals were invented for a kid's room. Take a look at my murals link

to see some unbelievable wall murals! They are gorgeous! That's my little boy's Nascar mural in the above photo, he LOVES it and it was just like hanging wallpaper, just alot easier, you only have to cover one wall. Oh, and if I had a little girl, my oh my would I have a blast! Browse the kid's room murals for fantasy, fairy and forest scenes, those are my favorite.

If you do decide to use a mural in your kid's room, don't forget to add a little shabby chic flair to it!

Vintage accessories, or shabby chic accessories, are all the rage and your child will love helping you pick them out! You can find them in online stores or at flea markets and antique auctions. I display shabby chic old model cars on the dresser and an old rusty motor oil can hanging from the ceiling in one corner, always a conversation piece!
